Educational Technology Leadership (502)

The M.Ed. in Educational Technology Leadership is an online program with two concentrations, one designed for certified teachers and the other for non-teaching professionals.

For K-12 teachers, you will earn a degree nationally accredited through both the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, NCATE, and the International Society for Technology in Education, ISTE. The degree also leads to add-on certification in Louisiana for Computer Literacy, Educational Technology Leader, Educational Technology Facilitator, and Online Instructor. Please, read more about the Educational Technology Leadership for K-12 Teaching and Learning (502A).

To be admitted to this program's concentration, you must have a valid teaching license. You must also meet admission requirements for graduate study at NSU.

For non-teaching professionals, the newest concentration focuses on Workforce Development (502B). The program prepares graduates to specialize in varied applications, including the following: instructional design and technology, human performance technology, training development and evaluation, and E-Learning. Among the career paths open to graduates are human performance technologist or training/development specialist at local companies/enterprises, local/state governments, public/private training services, and public/private health services.

To be admitted to this concentration, no teaching certificate is required. However, you must apply and be admitted to the Graduate School.

Apply now! This master's degree program is one of the oldest in the state and is the first online degree of any kind approved by the Board of Regents.

NSU, a pioneer in distance education, is regarded as the marquee online university in Louisiana because of our lengthy experience in delivering courses and degrees online, and excellent faculty and support staff. We also have a large out-of-state enrollment as well.

We are proud of the program and even more proud of our graduates' successes.
